A webliography is a list of electronic documents or websites that relate to a particular subject, especially one used in a scholarly work. This webliography will provide different resources that will help high school and college students easily find sources for their research on Great Lakes Shipwrecks
The Great Lakes
The Great Lakes consist of five interconnected freshwater lakes in North America that reside on the Canada-United States border. These five lakes connect to the Atlantic through the Saint Lawrence Seaway and the Great Lakes Waterway. The Great Lakes are the largest freshwater lakes on Earth and contain 21% of the world's freshwater. The surface are of these five lakes is 94,250 square miles. More than 6,000 ships and over 30,000 lives have been lost in these turbulent waters.
How to Navigate this Webliography
Because there are five Great Lakes, each Great Lake will have it's own tab above with information about that particular lake and information about shipwrecks pertaining to that lake. Within this tab you will also find resources that only pertain to that particular lake. This way the information you need will be easier to find. There is also a tab above titled "other" that contains additional resources. The tab titled "WorldCat Searching" will give you tips on basic searches using World Cat and how to find the materials you want.
